Breaking News -- Event Update -- Saturday, June 7 -- EZCC Autocross in support of the Stollery Children's Hospital at C.F.B. Edmonton

The Edmonton Z-Car Club has done the impossible; having secured the runways / taxiways at C.F.B. Edmonton for an autocross, to be held on Saturday, June 7.

Said runways/taxiway were last available in 2012, and the partnership that the EZCC had with the WRMC is back on. Due to the base's requirements, registration is required for ALL drivers and spectators (they're free) no later than Friday, May 30, so time is short on this one!

Event Reminder -- Saturday, May 17 -- Spring Drive

Details regarding the club's Spring Drive were e-mailed to the membership today. Hope to see you all on Saturday at our meeting location, for what should be a great day's drive along our favourite local route. We should end in St. Albert shortly before 4pm, and those that wish to enjoy some food / drink together, we'll head off to Soda Jerks after we make a brief stop on the city's limits.

Spring -- Vol 20, Iss 2 -- Miata Musings newsletter out

The Spring issue of our Miata Musings newsletter was e-mailed to the valid 2014 members today. If you didn't receive it, well, that means that your membership has expired (or that you didn't inform us of an e-mail address change). The club's Google Group e-mail system was purged of the expired 2013 members yesterday, based on non-response to multiple chances to renew. Still the best $20 you can spend on your Miata.

Meeting Reminder -- Thursday, March 20

The club's next meeting is Thursday, March 20, at 7pm in the second floor boardroom of Park Mazda. Attendees can pick up their 2014 membership cards (or those late, late, long-overdue 2013 members can renew). All other members will have their membership cards mailed by the following weekend.

Meeting Reminder -- Thursday, January 16

Yes, it's that time again...our monthly club meetings start up again, this month's being on Thursday, January 16 in the second floor boardroom of Park Mazda in Sherwood Park, from 7pm to no later than 8:30pm. For those of you who have yet to renew your club membership for 2014, this is a great time to do so in-person. Hope to see you there.

Last call for the WRMC's 19th Anniversary / New Year's / Christmas party -- Saturday, January 11

I just sent out an e-mail to all of the 2013/14 club members as a last-call for attendance to the club's 19th anniversary party, Saturday, January 11, at the Bodnar Collection -- a private automobile / antique museum. To date we have 27 attendees signed up, but there's room for more. Cost is $20/person (all funds donated to a charity of our choice by the Bodnars) and it's a potluck affair (but dry...no alcohol permitted on the premises). Deadline for registration is Monday, January 6.
