Event Reminder -- Jasper Jaunt -- June 20
Our annual Mille Kilometri drive -- the Jasper Jaunt -- is Saturday, June 20. Intended as a 1,000 kilometre loop south to Rocky Mountain House, west along the David Thompson Highway to Saskatchewan Crossing, north on the Icefields Parkway, and then ultimately home via the Yellowhead Highway, this is one of our premiere events of the season.
Best news is that access to the National Parks is free, so no fees need to be remitted upon entry to Banff N.P. at the gates just shy of Sask Crossing.
We'll meet up with members of Calgary's Canadian Rockies Miata Club at our gas / rest stop in Rocky Mountain House, and have a picnic-esque lunch in the parking lot at Sask Crossing (rest stop). Some of their cadre may be joining us northbound on the Icefields Parkway on an expanded route (they're overnighting in Hinton).
Depending on the weather outlook we may simply do a drive up to Maligne Lake, or turn that into a cookout opportunity with a fire.
As always, details will be sent out to club members via the club's GoogleGroups e-mail service.

710 Party & PDR Clinic -- CANCELLED
The 710 Party and PDR Clinic has been cancelled due to the adverse weather the event this Saturday.
Kris Cook of Just Dents bowed out as it’ll be too cold to do PDR outdoors and the snow was already causing oil change participants to cancel.
Gary and I talked this morning and have cancelled the event. We will explore opportunity for October, but for those of you in need of an oil change now, look to one of the clubs many corporate sponsors (dealers or Rivercity Motors) for your oil change needs.
See you all on the Spring Drive and Lunch event on Saturday, May 23.
