Meeting Reminder -- January 16, 2020

Yes, we did have our November 21 meeting; the last for 2019...I just apparently forgot to post about it.

But our first club meeting of 2020 will be on Thursday, January 16, from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the second-floor boardroom of Park Mazda in Sherwood Park.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in the meantime and we'll see you again in January. Memberships will expire on December 31, 2019 if you haven't already renewed. See the e-mail reminder(s) to do so least you start to miss out on important club communications and information.

The club's monthly meeting is Thursday, October 17, held in the second-floor boardroom of Park Mazda from 7:00 - 8:30pm.

If you don't already have your 25 year commemorative club decal, you can pick it up in person at the meeting. As well, the 2020 membership cards are already in, so if you'd like to take care of your renenwal early, you can do so.

Meeting Reminder -- August 15

August is an odd-duck month, with the third Thursday coming in the second full week of the month.

Our club meeting is on Thursday, August 15 from 7:00 - 8:30pm in the second floor boardroom at Park Mazda in Sherwood Park.

There should be both a soft-top and retractable-fastback 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Miatas on view, as one of each have now been delivered within the club (the other RF and three STs are coming soon).

Event Reminder -- Mazda Canada Spec-Miata Celebration -- July 20

We're going to cheer on our four club members as they battle it out in the second round of road racing, title-sponsored by Mazda Canada as the Spec-Miata Celebration, on Saturday, July 20.

Practice sessions start at 9am and the last race will conclude at 3:55pm + 1 lap.

Entrance to Castrol Raceway on Highway 19 west of the QEII Highway should be via the Drag Gate (the last one on the access road, ie: 800m south of the highway turn-off).

Once in the venue, find the Race Officials trailer, sign the waiver, and you'll have full access to the paddock and grand-stands.

Event Reminder -- Spring Drive -- May 11

The club's Spring Drive is set for May 11 -- which will be a lovely, spring day at long-last!

Get out and drive the mothballs out of your Miata and the snowflakes out of your head.

We meet at 11am at the location know to you in the club via e-mail, and will be done by 3:30pm. See you out there!

2019 Membership Cards Have All Been Sent

The last of the late renewals have had their membership cards sent in the 10am Canada Post mail pick up on February 12.

For any of you, if for some reason you have not received your card(s), please let me know ASAP.

Club members who did not receive a Mazda Canada 50th Anniversary iron-on patch in-person at an event during 2018 will have had them included with your 2019 membership card(s). Enjoy!

* Yes, I know that they're a typo on the back of the card. I updated two of the three instances of 2018 to 2019 but missed one. You should not have any trouble and I'll fix that for the 2020 card order.
